Keep Natchitoches Beautiful is one of 15 Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) affiliate communities across the state selected to participate in the inaugural ‘Leaders Against Litter’ event on Friday, April 11, 2014. Leaders throughout Natchitoches parish are asked to join Keep Natchitoches Beautiful in this statewide ‘litter-thon.’
In partnership with Volunteer Louisiana and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, KLB has awarded a $1,500 grant to host each local event in this statewide effort to heighten awareness and confront the litter problem in Louisiana.
Local officials, stakeholders and potential supporters are asked to ‘Save the Date’ as more details on the Natchitoches Leaders Against Litter event will be released in upcoming weeks.

About Leaders Against Litter
Leaders Against Litter is a statewide Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) event uniting leaders on common ground for a cleaner, more beautiful Louisiana. On April 11, 2014, community and political leaders throughout the state will join Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne in publicly pledging their support for a litter-free Louisiana. After a morning cleaning their local communities, representatives will meet on the steps of the State Capitol to kick off the Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 12, 2014 involving thousands of community volunteers.
