The Natchitoches Aviators (EAA Chapter 1526) will host a regional Fly-In for pilots and attractions of interest for the public on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in conjunction with the Classic Car Show.
The Natchitoches Regional Airport will host numerous aircraft from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Aircraft on display will include a P-51 Mustang, a Life Air Rescue helicopter, and numerous other aircraft.
Raffle tickets for two rides in the P-51D will be sold. Tickets will be $30 and proceeds will benefit a local charity.
Tubreaux Aviation will sell airplane rides in a Cessna 172 and share information with anyone interested in learning to fly. At the Car Show on the downtown riverbank in the National Historic District, Tubreaux Aviation will offer plane rides in a Super Cub floatplane from Cane River.
Natchitoches Aviators is a nonprofit group that promotes aviation through the Young Eagles and Eagles flight programs, and Fly-In gatherings of fellow aviators.
