New Sports & History Museum
Open to the Public

The new Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History museum will be open on Thursday, July 4 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. to accommodate visitors to ‘Celebration on the Cane’ in downtown Natchitoches.

We may be the ‘coolest place in town' this Independence Day,’ museum branch director Jennae Biddiscombe said. ‘To protect the irreplaceable artifacts on display, we keep inside temperatures at a constant 72 degrees and humidity between 51 and 54 percent. So families can have a wonderful museum experience and also beat the heat.’
